Indians: Moss Homers In Debut

Brandon Moss participated in his first game as a Cleveland Indian on Monday against the Seattle Mariners. Moss had missed games up to this point due to the right hip surgery he had in October. In his first two at-bats, he stuck out and fouled out. However, when he led-off the 7th inning of a game in which the Indians trailed 3-2,  Moss went yard off of south paw Lucas Luetge. He drove the ball over the right field fence tying the game up at 3-3. Indians Manager Terry Francona, said this of Moss’ first game with his new club, “The fact that he’s out here and looks so healthy is really exciting for us.” The Indians lost the game in the ninth inning when lefty reliever, Nick Hagadone gave up a lead-off triple and a sac fly resulting in a 4-3 Mariners win.
