Top 10 Backcourts in the NBA

on

By: Mike Hardy   @NBAQuickReport

It’s been a wild NBA season, and the playoff picture is beginning to take shape. Injuries have taken their toll on many teams, including many backcourts, most notably being the Bulls and Blazers. Since these are major injuries with at least one of the duo gone for the remainder of the season, I have decided not to include either team for this list. This list is based solely on statistics, and has no bias or opinions. I have ranked the top 10 backcourts in the NBA using a points system based on the following criteria:

Combined Points Per Game

Combined Assists Per Game

Combined Rebounds Per Game

Combined Field Goal Percentage

Combined 3-Point Percentage

Combined Win Shares

Combined Player Efficiency Rating

I narrowed the list down to 11 teams, but they were not put in order yet. For the points system, I will give you an example. The Warriors duo of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson average the most points per game, so that gives them 1 point. At the end, the duos are ranked from least points (best) to most points (worst). The team that finished in 11h was thrown out. With all of that being said, let’s get down to the list.
