on

More than any other of major American professional sport, the NBA is a star driven league. Fans love to follow their favorite players, and, more importantly, teams know that they need at least two stars to make a deep playoff run. With young stars more abundant in our league than maybe ever before, which duo is the league’s most dynamic? Let’s start with the defending champs..

10. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker

Combined Stats:

29.0 points, 11.7 rebounds, 7.6 assists, 1.5 steals, 2.0 blocks

You could say that this is a bit of a legacy award, and you would be right. Tony Parker and Tim Duncan have combined to win 4 rings with San Antonio, trading off leading the team. Duncan carried Parker in the early years, and, now that Duncan is nearing 40, Parker has quarterbacked the Spurs to two straight Finals appearances. But don’t overlook what these two are doing this season. They may not play every night, but they just keep finding a way to win, guiding the Spurs to a 34-19 start and a seat in the hotly-contested Western Conference playoffs. Both will soon be passed by Kawhi Leonard, but for now, this team still belongs to Timmy and Tony.
