Bill Russell could use another finger. With 11 rings in total, he will most likely forever hold the record for most championships for a player. He is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, shot blockers of all time. Instead of going for the highlight block into the stands, he focused on making sure his blocks ended with his team having possession. It’s a shame blocks weren’t a recorded stat at this time. He certainly had an all around game, able to score and being an elite rebounder, averaging 20+ rebounds 10 times (!!!) in his career. It was not all Russell though. Bob Cousy was a huge reason for 6 of Russell’s titles. In fact, they are the only teammates in NBA history to win the MVP in back to back seasons. Russell and Cousy went to the finals every year that they played together, at one point winning 5 in a row.
