As far as pure dominance as a 1-2 punch, Shaq and Kobe might be the greatest of all time. They were that good. Shaq went to L.A. via free agency, and the Lakers traded for a young Kobe Bryant after he was drafted by the Hornets to set up this legendary duo. They fought through a loaded Western conference, and made slight work of their Eastern conference opponents in the finals, 3 peating from ‘00-02. That is, until the Pistons swept them in the ‘04 finals. Unfortunately, these two couldn’t get along, so their ride together ended far too soon. They have combined to win 3 more titles in their careers (2 for Kobe, 1 for Shaq), so it is not much of a reach to say they could have won a couple of more together.
