The city of Pittsburgh has had quite a few unforgettable moments in its rich sports history. There are so many unforgettable moments in the history of Pittsburgh sports that I couldn’t narrow it down to just 10, so I’ve decided to make a Part II. Keep in mind, these 10 unforgettable moments aren’t necessarily the 10 MOST unforgettable moments in Pittsburgh sports, but moments that Pittsburgh fans will never forget nevertheless. Bill Mazeroski’s Walk-off Home Run In The 1960 World Series

This one would not only go down as one of the most unforgettable moments in Pittsburgh history, but also as one of the most unforgettable moments in baseball history. This game winning, walk-off home run in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series was so unforgettable that ESPN ranked it as “the greatest home run of all time”. This home run would give the Pirates a World Series victory over the heavily favored Yankees. This is still the only Game 7 walk-off home run in World Series history.
