WWE’s Top 10 Going Into Wreslemania

World Wrestling Entertainment’s “Showcase of the Immortals”, Wrestlemania 31, will take place on Sunday, March 29, from Levi’s Stadium in Silicon Valley, CA.  While the final card has yet to be determined, several scenarios are solid enough to make some predictions.  It’s easy to see who is getting pushed and who isn’t in WWE these days.

10. Ryback

The “Big Guy” has been given the unstoppable force angle again and the fans seem to be responding.  I expect Ryback to get a shot at Rusev or maybe even Roman Reigns sometime down the road.

9. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph seems to be taking all the top tier guys to the limits, only to lose in some fashion.  The fans respond well to Ziggler and he has put together some great matches with stars like Seth Rollins, Kane, and Bray Wyatt. Losing his Intercontinental Title isn’t necessarily a sign that his push is over. Sometimes, that means it’s time for the midcarder to make the next jump.

8. Dean Ambrose

The most developed of The Shield seems to be getting the least push.  Dean Ambrose has carried great story lines with guys like Bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins, and is now set to get into the Intercontinental Title picture.  The guy with the IC belt is seen as the top midcarder. Ambrose has the talent to win the audience and tell an interesting story in the ring and on the mic.

7. Big Show

Show is part of “The Authority” story line and has been in the main event or near the main event every week for a while now.  Big Show is reliable as a heel or face and can always get reaction. Whatever WWE has in store for Seth Rollins will more than likely include the “World’s Largest Athlete”.

6. Brock Lesner

Lesner may be the least relevant World Champion in WWE’s history.  They put the belt on Lesner hoping that the once in a while attraction would be a big enough deal to hold the audiences’ interest. What they have created is a champion who has walked through The Undertaker, John Cena, and Seth Rollins.  Beating Lesner with Daniel Bryan or even Roman Reigns is going to seem unbelievable.  There really is no interesting direction to take Lesner at this point.

5. John Cena

Just because Cena is always here.  He is WWE’s “Go To Guy” when they can’t figure it out. He probably isn’t in the current title picture, but that can change at a moment’s notice should someone get injured or prove that they aren’t ready to step it up.

4. Bray Wyatt

Wyatt’s character development has been interesting to watch.  You can see WWE’s plan to turn him into a despicable villian as the weeks have rolled by.  He is brutalizing opponents as of late and was one of the last participants in the Royal Rumble to be eliminated, the sure sign that he is on the rise.  He is rumored to be in a match with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania if Taker is healthy enough to go.

3. Daniel Bryan

If this was a fan favorite’s list, Bryan would be at the top without a doubt.  You can see that the company doesn’t see him as the face of the company based on what happened in the Rumble.  The fans went into riot mode and WWE put him back into the story line with a match against Roman Reigns at Fast Lane. Reigns is fully expected to win and keep his spot with Lesner going into Wrestlemania, but anything is possible.

2. Seth Rollins

The Money in the Bank winner has the golden suitcase at his disposal.  He is going to be champion without a doubt, just when and for how long.  Does a Seth Rollins/Roman Reigns long standing feud have enough interest to carry the company for any amount of time?

1. Roman Reigns

WWE has been sold on him from Day one.  He has the look and the famous Samoan heritage, but he is lacking from a charisma standpoint.  He isn’t as good in the ring as guys like Rollins or Bryan either, and the fans have definitely noticed.  Still, WWE seems willing to put the face of the company status squarely on his tattooed shoulders.
